Dr. Michael Cherre was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1954, the second of five children. He graduated from St. Louis University High School, where he was a member of the 1970 State Championship Football Team. Dr. Cherre chose St. Louis University for his college studies, majoring in Biology. In 1976, he graduated Cum Laude and matriculated to the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he earned his D.D.S. degree in 1980. He returned to St. Louis University for his Orthodontic specialty training.

Dr. Cherre opened his practice in Ellisville, Missouri in the Summer of 1982. He moved his office to its present location in the Fall of 1997. He and his wife Sally have three sons, Mike Jr., Rob and Joe. Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Cherre is a huge baseball Cardinals and St. Louis Rams fan. He also enjoys skiing, jogging and lifting, and finds relaxation in washing and waxing the family's automobiles.

Dr. Cherre is a member of the A.A.O., the A.D.A., the Greater St. Louis Dental Society, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists and the Alexander Discipline Study Club.
